Simplified or free wedding
In Delft you can choose for a simplified of free wedding of partnership.
Simplified wedding
A simplified wedding or partnership is possible on:
- Tuesday at 10.00, 10.15, 10.30 and 10.45 hrs.
- Thursday at 13.30, 13.45, 14.00 and14.15 hrs.
You will receive a modest ceremony:
- A simplified wedding takes place in a wedding room at the stadskantoor (Stationsplein 1)
- The ceremony takes about 5 minutes
- No more than 6 persons may attend (including the bridal couple and the witnesses)
- You cannot play any music
- The civil registrar will not contact you ahead of time and will not give a speech
- A simplified wedding costs in 2024: € 195.75
Free wedding
A free wedding or partnership is only possible:
- on Monday mornings 10.00 or 10.15 hrs.
- if either you or your partner are a resident of Delft
You will receive a modest ceremony:
- A simplified wedding takes place in an interview room at the stadskantoor (Stationsplein 1)
- The ceremony takes about 5 minutes
- No more than 6 persons may attend (including the bridal couple and the witnesses)
- You cannot play any music
- The civil registrar will not contact you ahead of time and will not give a speech
