Underground containers

You can dispose your waste in your own mini container or in an underground container in your neighbourhood. Check the Avalex website for an underground container near you. Or use the Avalex app.

The underground containers on the Nieuwe Langendijk can only be opened by residents living directly nearby who use an Avalex pass.

Container full or damaged?

Is the container full or damaged? Or is waste stuck inside in one of the containers? Report it to Avalex. You are not allowed to place waste next to the container, even if it is full. Please take your waste to another underground container nearby.

Self-drop-off

Does your waste not fit in your mini container or an underground container? Bring it to the recycling center at Voltaweg 11. Open Monday to Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Don’t forget to bring your (digital) Avalex pass.

Containertuintje

A containertuintje is a small community-maintained garden placed around an underground waste container to beautify the area and reduce litter.
