BRP extract
General
A BRP extract (Personal Records Database) shows your personal details, such as your name, address, and place of residence. You must request this from the municipality where you live. Log in with DigiD and pay with iDEAL or credit card.
Description
- You will receive a certified PDF document.
- The digital extract will be available on your Personal Internet Page.
- Send the digital file to the organization that requested it.
- A printed copy is not valid.
Request only from the municipality
Only request a BRP extract from the municipality. Some companies offer this service for an extra fee, but the municipality does not work with them.
For your child
You can also request a BRP extract for your child if:
- Your child is under 18 years old.
- Your child is registered at the same address as you.
Paper extract
Would you prefer a paper version? You can choose this option during your request.
- The municipality will send the paper extract within 1 working day.
- We will send it to the address where you are registered.
- You will receive it by post within a few days.

FAQ
Authorisation
You can also authorise an adult to apply for the extract on your behalf. This person must bring with them:
- Valid proof of identification
- A copy of your proof of identification
- Completed and signed authorisation form (Machtigingsformulier, in Dutch)
Different from civil registry extract
A BRP extract is different from information from the civil registry. In the civil registry certificates regarding birth, death, marriage and divorce are documented. Addresses are not included in these certificates.
