BRP extract

• You will receive a certified PDF document.
• The digital extract will be available on your Personal Internet Page.
• Send the digital file to the organization that requested it.
• A printed copy is not valid.

Request only from the municipality

Only request a BRP extract from the municipality. Some companies offer this service for an extra fee, but the municipality does not work with them.

For your child

You can also request a BRP extract for your child if:

• Your child is under 18 years old.
• Your child is registered at the same address as you.

Paper extract

Would you prefer a paper version? You can choose this option during your request.

• The municipality will send the paper extract within 1 working day.
• We will send it to the address where you are registered.
• You will receive it by post within a few days.

Authorisation

You can also authorise an adult to apply for the extract on your behalf. This person must bring with them: 

• Valid proof of identification
• A copy of your proof of identification
• Completed and signed authorisation form (Machtigingsformulier, in Dutch)

Different from civil registry extract

A BRP extract is different from information from the civil registry. In the civil registry certificates regarding birth, death, marriage and divorce are documented. Addresses are not included in these certificates.
